Fire Safety Training at VHIS

On November 9th, a fire drill was held at Viet Hoa International School under the guidance of the Fire Department of Tan Uyen Town, Binh Duong Province. This drill aimed to familiarize each teacher and staff member with the school’s evacuation routes and the use of firefighting equipment. The activities included fire safety training, hands-on practice with fire extinguishers, high-pressure water hoses, evacuation skills, and first aid for the injured.
The key principles emphasized were:
🧯Staying calm and handling fire situations carefully.
🧯Identifying the direction of the fire and smoke to choose the safest evacuation route.
🧯Moving in an orderly manner, covering mouth and nose, staying low, and heading to the assembly point.
🧯 Taking attendance, counting people, reassuring students, and maintaining calmness during evacuation.
The school’s founder and Chairman of the Board, Mr. Ta Minh Huy, highlighted: “With the principle of ‘Prevention is better than cure,’ it is essential to equip and train skills to handle unexpected incidents. All teachers and staff must participate in fire safety training to ensure the safety of everyone, especially the students, creating a comprehensive international school where parents, students, and teachers feel secure, safe, and confident.”
