Chairman Hsieh Ming-Huei of Viet Hoa International School Visits Taiwan School in Indonesia, Expanding New Horizons for Overseas Compatriot Education in Southeast Asia

Chairman Hsieh Ming-Huei of Viet Hoa International School in Vietnam recently visited Indonesia. In his dual capacity as Vice Chairman of the Overseas Compatriot Culture and Education Foundation and as an Overseas Community Affairs Council member, he attended the graduation ceremony of the Jakarta Taipei School and Surabaya Taipei School, further deepening overseas compatriot education and cultural exchanges across Southeast Asia.

During the ceremony, Principal Chang Chin-Fu of the Jakarta Taipei School and Surabaya Taipei School encouraged all graduates to maintain a lifelong passion for learning and to courageously step onto the international stage. Subsequently, Ambassador Cherng-Chuan Horng, Representative of the Republic of China to Indonesia, was also invited to deliver remarks. He highly affirmed the outstanding achievements of Taiwan schools in cultivating education in Indonesia and expressed his hopes that the graduates would make full use of their bilingual strengths to become important bridges connecting Taiwan and Indonesia in the economy, trade, and culture.

Chairman Hsieh Ming-Huei’s visit not only represented the cross-border friendship of Viet Hoa International School, but also reflected a broader perspective from the Overseas Compatriot Culture and Education Foundation and overseas compatriot affairs policy. He engaged in in-depth dialogue with local overseas Chinese communities and educators in Indonesia. Chairman Hsieh stated that the educational strength of Chinese schools in Southeast Asia is improving day by day, and that he will continue to promote the sharing of overseas compatriot education resources between Vietnam, Indonesia, and other regions, working together to inject new momentum into the cultivation of a new generation of transnational talents.
