2026 Overseas Chinese Student Seed Leadership Camp Opens – Hsieh Ming-Hui Encourages Students to Become Better Versions of Themselves
On June 6, 2026, Mr. Hsieh Ming-Hui, Vice Chairman of the Overseas Compatriot Culture and Education Foundation (OCCEF), attended the 2026 Overseas Chinese Student Seed Leadership Camp organized by the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC), offering words of encouragement to 121 Southeast Asian overseas Chinese students enrolled in industry-academia cooperative programs across Taiwan.
Having spent many years working alongside Taiwanese businesses in Vietnam, Mr. Hsieh expressed deep admiration for the students’ courage in leaving their hometowns, overcoming language barriers, adapting to a new environment, and pursuing their educational goals in Taiwan. He noted that such determination and resilience are truly commendable.
Mr. Hsieh emphasized that the OCCEF has long maintained close cooperation with the OCAC and firmly believes that overseas Chinese students are not only pursuing academic opportunities in Taiwan but also serving as important bridges connecting Taiwan with the global community.
He encouraged the students to make the most of the camp’s seven-day, six-night program through active participation in its educational sessions and cultural experiences. By broadening their horizons, building confidence, and developing leadership skills, students can become positive role models within their schools and communities while striving to become better versions of themselves.
